We caught a huge Cyanea capillata during a 75m deep midwater
trawl today. It was exciting to encounter such a large specimen. These
coldwater jellies can grow to be quite large. They are pelagic during most of
their life and typically settle in shallow bays toward the end of their
lifecycle.
