Sampling of the Southeast grid is well underway and we have
certainly encountered numerous sharks this fall, having captured 2 blue sharks
and 8 salmon sharks. A commercial salmon troller off the cost of Yakobi Island
confirmed high abundance this year, claiming that sharks have been responsible
for damaging the fleets gear.
